Trace McSorley returns to Penn State as assistant QB coach

Former Penn State Quarterback Trace McSorley returns to Happy Valley as assistant Quarterbacks coach for the 2025 season.

Penn State spreads the word on social media on Tuesday.

McSorley started 40 matches for Nittany Lions during the 2016-18 seasons. He played 47 total matches for Nittany Lions and threw for 9,899 meters with 77 touchdowns – both school records at that time – and 25 interceptions.

McSorley, now 29, was 31-9 as a Penn State start.

Baltimore Raven chose McSorley in the sixth round of the NFL draft 2019. He spent time with six NFL franchisees, which shows up in nine matches (one start) for Ravens and Arizona Cardinals.

In the NFL he finished 48 out of 93 passport attempts of 502 meters with one touchdown and five interceptions.
