Tuesday NBA Playoff Picks: Top Bets and Parlays for April 22

After the season is a beautiful time for NBA fans, as each game comes with potential for greatness and expectations of high drama.

For players, it means fewer games and markets. It also offers the chance to do what should be good games even better when you participate in the action.

To help you trade with the game that suits you best, we want to offer our “best bets” list for today’s NBA after seasonal games (odds via Draftkings).

Milwaukee Bucks (+160) against Indiana Pacers (-4), O/U 229

Pacers really took it to Bucks in Game 1 and passed away with a dominant victory 117-98. Since it is the playoffs I would expect a much more competition competition in Game 2, but in round 1 it does not always happen.

Bucks needs someone other than Giannis Antetokounmpo to get up and play. There is no reason why two starters in a Playoff-Caliber team should do as little as Kyle Kuzma and Taurean Prince did in Game 1.

Even with Damian Lillard, Bucks will make a much better effort in this game, but it will not suffice.

Here you have a team that was dominant throughout the season and another that barely carved through the back door to make the playoffs. I hope for a better effort from Grizzlies in Game 2, but it is not uncommon for two-vs.-7 matchups to be blows.

Holmgren was on average 1.4 three per match during the regular season but had 2+ in all except two matches played in April. I wouldn’t be banking on him to do three as in Game 1 again. But with how he has shot behind the bow lately, I am comfortable taking him on 2+.

Minnesota Timberwolves (+190) against Los Angeles Lakers (-6), O/U 210.5

Sure, Lebron, Luka and the mighty Lakers will not lose 0-2 at home during the season, right? I’m not so sure.

Yes, Luka Dončić and LeBron James are incredible talents, but as a team is Timberwolves deeper, has more size and plays better defense.

I don’t expect Minnesota to shoot as well as it did in game 1 (51.2% from the floor and 50% from 3-point intervals). If the Lakers can shoot better than they did (39.8% and 36.6%) this may be a close game. But I don’t see that the Lakers get the job done.
