UAB Standout Yaxel Lendeborg Transfer to Michigan, will test tension water

Yaxel Lendeborg, listed by 247sports as No. 1 transmission player in the country, has undertaken Michigan.

The 247sports Transfer Portal lists confirmed the move on Saturday. He spent the last two seasons at UAB after starting his career at Junior College level in Arizona Western.

Several withdrawals indicated that he is expected to test the 2025 NBA draft of water but is probably on his way to Michigan.

A 6-foot-9 ahead, Lendeborg led the blazers in each statistical category, an average of 17.7 points, 11.4 returns, 4.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.8 blocks per match.

He was an All-American athletic conference first team election and also AAC Defensive Player of the Year 2024-25. He led Blazers to the quarter final in Nit, where they lost to UC Irvine in overtime.

Michigan advanced to Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament and lost to No. 1 Frö Auburn to close coach Dusty May’s first season in Ann Arbor.
