Atlanta Faze, fresh from winning Call of Duty League Stage 2-Major, dropped his first match in stage 3 qualifiers on Friday and fell 3-2 to Toronto Ultra.
In the other opening day matches, Step 2 swept the Vancouver over voltage Vegas Falcons 3-0 and Optical Texas Kined Minnesota Rokkr 3-2.
Stage 3 Major Qualifying Round has league 12, which plays five qualifiers per piece until April 20 to determine sowing for stage 3 big playoffs, scheduled for April 24-27 in Boca Raton, FLA.
Ultra opened with a victory 250-193 at Vault Hardpoint before Faze gathered to require hacienda search and destroy 6-5 and protocol control 3-2. Toronto bounced back and got a 250-206 triumph at Hacienda Hardpoint and a 6-3 victory on the protocol search and destroys.
The over-voltage lowered Falcons 250-127 on Red Card Hardpoint, 6-2 on dealer search and destruction and 3-0 on vault control.
Optic started with a victory of 250-230 at Skyline Hardpoint, but Rokkr captured Rewind search and destroys 6-4 and protocol control 3-1. Texas since 250-207 on Protocol Hardpoint and 6-5 on protocol search and destroys.
