US women’s national team has planned a couple of friendly matches in June against the Republic of Ireland.

The team will meet in Commerce City, Colo, June 26 and in Cincinnati on June 29, the US Football Association announced on Monday.

USWNT will also play a third match on July 2, with an opponent and place to be determined.

The US and Ireland met last April 2023 when Americans swept a couple of matches in Austin, Texas and St. Louis before the FIFA Women’s World Cup where both teams were participants.

“Ireland is one of the most difficult European teams to play against, so I’m glad we could get these games,” said US head coach Emma Hayes. “We have to play teams that will drive us and create an environment where our players must solve problems and play under pressure.

“We are still early in our process to build against the World Cup qualification for ’27 and we still have a lot of growth to go as a team and as individuals, so these summer matches on these fantastic football places will again provide a platform for players to show their abilities to stand out at a high level.”

Gamet June 26 in Colorado at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park is scheduled for a start 21.00. The match on June 29 at Cincinnatis TQL Stadium is planned for 15.00 et.

The United States has won all 15 previous meetings against Ireland.
