A casino outside Strip operating under a new management structure has aroused a marketing leader with valuable experience at Strip.
Virgin Las Vegas Hotel-Casino announced John Fechik as his new senior vice president for marketing. Fechik, who published the career change in a social media network last month, had been with the Venetian hotel casino for more than 15 years in different positions before being appointed the new role with Virgin.
In a news message about the appointment, Virgin Fechik described as a “executed CEO with a proven ability to attract and retain players in competitive markets”, and added that his “expertise includes building and leading very motivated teams, strategic planning, events and campaigns and player development and acquisitions.”
“We couldn’t be more pleased that John would lead our casino marketing team when we go into this exciting new chapter for the property,” Cliff Atkinson, president of Virgin, said in a statement. “His extensive experience and proven track record in casino marketing makes him the perfect fit for our team.”
The casino said Fechik will “monitor all marketing strategies and initiatives for the casino, drive growth and improve the guest experience.” It includes the tip of the launch of Virgin’s New Player Loyalty Program, Cherry Rewards. The new reward program debuted this month.
“I am honored to join such a dynamic and future -oriented property,” Fechik said. “I look forward to working with the talented team at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas to create unforgettable experiences for our guests and drive the casino’s success.”
Mohegan Tribe and Virgin Las Vegas completed their playing operations in 2024. The property’s two best managers, Atkinson and Chad Konrad, formed an operational unit, C&C 4455, to adopt the daily operations. Nevada Gaming Regulator’s approved C&C 4455 in December, with Atkinson as CEO and Konrad as CFO for the new unit.
