White Sox Rally past Red Sox for the first road woman this season

Edgar Quero and Andrew Vaughn each drove one in two runs when the visiting Chicago White Sox made six runs during the last three rounds to rally for an 8-4 victory over Boston Red Sox on Sunday afternoon.

Vaughn highlighted his 2-for-5 performance with a two-run home run on eighth and helped White Sox break a five-game lost line and 0-7 start on the road this season. White Sox also won when he beat after six rounds for the first time since the 2023 season as they went 0-79 when they beat after six rounds in 2024.

Chicagos Matt Thaiss went deep in the first round as part of a three-hit day while Luis Robert Jr. Singed and got twice. Brandon Eisert (1-0) beat 1 2/3 rounds in relief by Massachusett’s native Sean Burke to get the profit.

Wilyer Abreu met a three-run Homer and Kristian Campbell went 2-for-4 with a double for Boston, who had won three straight and four out of five.

White Sox wiped the score during a three-run seventh and loaded the bases with none out after Lenyn Sosa’s lead single and two hits by Boston-Reliever Zack Kelly (1-1).

After Justin Wilson came out of Boston’s Tjurpen, Brooks Baldwin’s victim Bunt plated a run and Quero’s NYP hit, two-run single through the drawn infiament, Chicago put back in the lead at 5-4.

In the eighth, Robert ripped a lead single and Vaughn crushed a two-run Homer over the green monster in the left center against Boston’s Liam Hendriks, which made his first major league look since June 2023 after Tommy John Surgery.

Baldwin met a one-out single and received a ninth-inning insurance run when Thaiss was hit by a pitch with the bases full.

Visitors tagged Boston Starter Tanner Huck with a couple of two-out-runs in the first. After Robert went for a walk, Thaiss went on a two-run shot that scraped over the right field wall.

Red Sox responded quickly with a three-run place in the latter half of the inning. After Rafael Devers and Alex Bregman reached the base on consecutive errors, abreu deposited a three-run homer in the right field Bullpen.

Two-out crime helped Boston expand its lead to 4-2 in the other. Blake Sabol hit a double in the corner of the right field before scoring Jarren Duran’s knock through the right side. Burke went Devers and beat Bregman, but stranded the bases loaded to keep the game close.

Houck was content with ending six rounds of two-run, three-hit ball with seven strikes. Boston Righty did not allow one hit after the other and retired the last five beats he met.

It was a similar finish for Burke, who allowed only two hits during the last three of his five rounds.
