Wild is looking to reverse recent fortunes in Clash vs. Blackhawks

Minnesota Wild is struggling to recover his foot after losing five of its last six games before their visit on Sunday in the Chicago Blackhawks.

Wild coach John Hynes challenged the team after Saturday’s 5-4 home loss to Calgary Flames.

“Now we choose to lose,” Hynes said. “It’s hard. Losing is not easy. Winning is not easy. We have to get back to the level of commitment that is required to win.

“The mentality, the fire, the competitiveness, the depth of the lineup. Right now it is not enough. It is not enough.”

Marco Rossi helped each of the memorials three goals during the third period. It gave him 43 points this season and surpassed the 40 he collected 2023-24.

Still, familiar fights that the flames seized early control. The Wild gave two Power-Play goals and has allowed seven while during the last six games.

Minnesota had a season best 11 takeaways against the flames.

Chicago started a four-game home forest on an encouraging remark and defeated the Western-continuous Vegas Golden Knights 5-3 on January 18.

The Blackhawks followed that effort with successive 4-3 overtime losses to Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning, two clubs in the playoffs in the east.

Chicago demanded a 3-1 lead at Lightning early in the second period on Friday but could not maintain the speed or the advantage. Tampa Bay exceeded Chicago 40-14 for the game, including 18-1 during the third period and overtime.

“It’s the part of the season we are struggling with:” Could “, should”, “instead of just getting it done,” said Blackhawks -Captain Nick Foligno.

During the game, Chicago split Taylor Hall to Carolina as part of a three-team trading. The move led to lots of reflection among the Blackhawks in the dressing room.

“We have no one else to blame without ourselves, really, by putting ourselves in the situation where they have to start thinking about the future and selling,” Foligno said. “It’s not a funny feeling for anyone in here.”

Chicago will hope to continue to develop his youth during the stretching of another frustrating season. Blackhawks 35 points are the second smallest in the NHL.

Connor Bedard, reigning NHL beginner, got an assist on Friday and has at least one point in 13 of his last 15 games. He leads the team in assists (29) and points (42).

Rookie Colton Dach opened the point for the Blackhawks with their first career goal, and other youth Louis Crevier and Frank Nazar each had a goal and assist.

Minnesota has won two of the three previous meetings this season between the clubs, with each game decided by a goal.

The Wild comes from a 4-3 home victory against the Blackhawks on December 23. Ten different Minnesota players had points in the game, with Yakov Trenin who contributed two assists.

Chicagos Teuvo Teravainen has 13 points in his last 12 games against Minnesota, although he has been held without points in each competition this season.
