Will Smith met a three-run home run in a four-run third inning and Tommy Edman had four hits when Los Angeles Dodgers got a 6-2 victory over the visiting Colorado Rockies on Tuesday in the middle of the annual Jackie Robinson celebration.
Rookie Left Hander Jack Dreyer (2-0) had four strikes in 1 2/3 relief innings to win the victory. Dodgers has won the first two games in the Three-game series and can earn their third home care of the season Wednesday.
Los Angeles played without right -wing fields Teoscar Hernandez (illness) for the second game in a row.
Jacob Stallings met a two-run double for Rockies, who saw that their losing line is reaching five matches. Colorado has received five total runs during the ski.
Rockie’s right hand Ryan Feltner (0-1) gave up five runs on five hits with six walks in 2 2/3 rounds.
Dodgers took a 1-0 lead in the second round of a Chris Taylor double player after loading the bases on two walks and a single from Edman. Another two file wraps in the third round were followed by Smith’s home run, his second of the season, for a 4-0 lead.
Dodgers added another run in the third on a two-out RBI single from Chris Taylor to score Edman, which doubled.
Rockies got two runs back in the fourth on Stalling’s two-run double by Dodger’s right-hander Landon Knack. Dodgers added insurance in eighth on a two-out RBI single from Freddie Freeman.
Dreyer’s five outs started a run in which Los Angeles Bullpen kept Colorado speechless over the last 4 2/3 rounds. Four Dodgers debris combined to allow a hit with eight strikes.
While wearing hats from Franchise’s Brooklyn Days, Dodgers improved to 17-4 on Jackie Robinson Day since the celebration began in 2004.
Los Angeles is now 12-2 at home against Colorado in the last three seasons and 22-6 in total between the teams within the same time frame.
