The magicians aim to snap a six-game losing line on Monday when they host Brooklyn Nets in Washington, DC

Washington finished his longest winning line of the season on February 5 when it beat Brooklyn on the road, 119-102. Seven Wizards made in double numbers in that game.

Since then, Washington has lost sex in a row after Sunday’s Route 110-90 at Orlando. Malcolm Brogdon missed Sunday’s play with an ankle injury, and Khris Middleton – acquired in a trade that sent Kyle Kuzma to Milwaukee – was out with its own ankle damage.

“We will not use experience as an apology here,” said Washington coach Brian Keefe. “Lessons to learn; came out better during the third quarter.”

Wizard’s current ski is their third longest of the season behind a pair of 16-game declines that extended from November 2 to December 5 and Jan 3-30.

Sunday’s 90 points were the smallest Washington who scored since he set up only 82 against Toronto in the 15th loss of Wizard’s second 16 game decline on January 29.

As for Brooklyn, it recovered from the loss to Washington to win four of its last five matches, including a 105-103, summary defeat by Philadelphia on the road on Saturday.

Nic Claxton’s PUT-back bucket at Hornet secured the victory and improved the nets to 7-2 during its last nine matches. They have moved within half a game from Chicago for 10th place in the eastern conference and the last play-in round quay for the playoffs.

“He has really worked,” Brooklyn’s coach Jordi Fernandez said about Claxton. “It was a bit of an upside-down (season). Right now, consistently, he has gotten better and better and better and is the anchoring to the defense.”

Claxton’s 16 points on Saturday marked his fourth two -digit excursion in Brooklyn’s last five games. He also has at least nine returns over the same distance and improves his seasonal average to 10.2 points and 7.6 returns per match.

With regard to Claxton’s role anchoring of the defense, as Fernandz described, Brooklyn is ranked eighth in the NBA in points permitted per match at 110.8.

Washington, meanwhile, hands over a NBA worst 121.4 points per match. Nets will try to exploit Wizard’s season -long defensive misery, but Brooklyn has had its own fights that generate a consistent crime.

Nets rank no. 29 in the NBA in points that received points per match at 104.9. Brooklyn has cleared that Mark only twice in the last nine games, but has limited six opponents to fewer than 100 points over the same distance.

Washington’s leading goal scorer, Jordan Poole at 21 points per match, is the only magician on average more than 13 points a competition this season in Washington with Kuzma Gone. Bilal Coulibaly produces just over 12 points per match.

Cam Thomas set up 24.7 points per match when he last played on January 2. Cameron Johnson, an average of 19.1 points per match, went for 23 to lead the way in the victory in Philadelphia.
