Wolves’ winning line conflicts with Sixer’s seasonal picture

The Minnesota Timberwolves will continue its last road swing of the regular season on Saturday, giving a winning line in four games to Philadelphia to meet the sinking 76th century.

Timberwolves (45-32) moved to 2-0 on his five-match expedition with a victory of 105-90 Thursday at Brooklyn.

Anthony Edwards got 28 points while Rudy Gobert added 21 points and 18 returns. Naz Reid received 13 points from the bench when he returned from the one-game suspension which was issued to Reid and Donte Divincenzo after a scraping in Minnesota’s 123-104 victory Sunday versus Detroit.

Timberwolves enters the home route locked in a tight playoff race in the Western Conference. They ended Thursday with Memphis and Golden State in the Win column, tied with Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers in the loss column and only 1 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers in fourth place.

Minnesota also stands two matches behind Denver in third place. Timberwolves opened his road trip with a victory with 140-139 over Nuggets on double overtime.

“Win. Win. Win. We want to be control over our own destiny, and the only way we sit down in that situation is by winning,” Reid said Thursday. “We keep winning, we will interfere in a situation where we don’t have to be in play-in.”

Timberwolves gets a new crack in a playoffs when they finish their road swing on April 10 at Memphis. Meanwhile, Minnesota looks to continue its latest streak to an opponent long ago from the season.

Philadelphia (23-54) made a new mark for its seasonal losing line on Thursday when it dropped its 10th straight in a decision of 126-113 against Milwaukee. Sixers matched the franchise most losses since he went 28-54 2016-17 organization’s last losing campaign.

Adem Bona gave a little positive in Thursday’s loss with a career pile 28 points. Rookie Big Mans’ former best was 16.

Philadelphia also received a 24-point, 10-assist from Quentin Grimes, which has received at least 22 points in 11 of its 12 last performances. He has given a certain texture for a team ravaged by injury.

Paul George made his last of 41 performances this season on March 4, which was also Philadelfia’s previous meeting with Minnesota. Timberwolves won in Minneapolis, 126-112, with Reids 23 points that led seven Minnesota Scores in double numbers.

Kelly Oubre Jr., who received 24 points against Timberwolves, played by March 12. Former NBA’s most valuable player Joel Embiid made 19 performances for Sixers before being suspended with a knee injury that will require surgery.

Tyrese Maxey, Philadelfia’s leading goal scorer of 26.3 points per match, handles a finger injury. Although he last played on March 3, Sixers coach Nick Nurse would not exclude Maxey, which shows up in one of Filadelfia’s last five matches.

“He’s just looking for (Thursday). He had another training … The first did not go so well,” the nurse said of Maxey. “He also received more (-ray) imaging.”
