Yankees extends Aaron Bone’s contract to 2027

New York Yankee’s manager Aaron Boone signed a two -year contract extension that will go through the 2027 season, the team announced on Thursday.

Economic conditions were not revealed by the Boone team, which enters its eighth year as head of Yankees.

Yankees practiced the club option in 2025 on its contract on November 8.

Boone, 51, is 603-429 since he took over 2018 and has reached the playoffs six times in seven seasons. In 2024, New York captured its first American League -Witfall since 2009 and lost against Los Angeles Dodgers in five matches in the World Series.

Boone is the third Yankees manager who makes the playoffs in six of his first seven seasons with the club and joined Casey Stengel (also six of the first seven) and Joe Torre (each of the first 12).

New York had the best record in the American League last season at 94-68 and won Al East for the third time in Bone’s service (2019 and 2022).

Boone was named the 33rd manager in Yankee’s history on December 4, 2017.
