While the New York Yankees met 22 Homers on its first homeland, then experienced mixed results on their first road trip, San Francisco Giants continued one of their better starts in recent seasons.

Yankees tries to produce more powerful swings on Friday night when they host San Francisco Giants, which has been on their way to their best 12 game start since 2003.

Yankees went 4-2 in their first six home games when they got 53 runs and beat .278 against Milwaukee Brewers and Arizona Diamondbacks, while making waves for some players who used torpedo bats. On their 3-3 drive to Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Tigers, New York met four homers, got 29 runs and beat .251.

Yankees made 19 runs in winning the first two games on the trip and then went 13-for-65 (.200) at the plate in the first two games in Detroit before he was on for a 4-3 victory on Wednesday afternoon. New York’s Ben Rice met a two-run Homer in the seventh round to support a dominant effort by Max Fried (11 strikes, seven rounds) and beats .306 so far.

“It felt enormous,” Rice said. “Max fought for us the whole game, held us in a pitcher’s duel there early. Gave us a chance to get back in the latter rounds and put some runs on the board, so getting through it was massive.”

Aaron Judge added a two-run single in the ninth round. He beats .354 after starting a slow start last season when he finished at .322, sluggish 58 homers and drove in 144 runs. The referee’s hit Wednesday ended as the difference after Devin Williams allowed three runs for the second time this season and Mark Leiter Jr. Closed the victory with its first rescue.

At 9-3, Giants is at their best 12 game start since they were 11-1 to open 2003 as part of a 13-1 start.

Rookie Jung Hoo Lee added three hits and beats .333, while Wilmer Flores hit a binding Homer in the eighth. Giants amounted to 12 hits Wednesday after going 8-for-61 in the previous two games.

“It would not have been an extremely great feeling, especially with a day off,” said San Francisco -Manager Bob Melvin about a potential defeat in the final in the home. “You have to sit on it for a while. So it went from what could have been a rough period to one that we feel really good with.”

Robie Ray (2-0, 3.18 era) opens the Giants series and comes from a couple of strong starts. The left hand allowed a run of four hits in six rounds in a 4-1 victory over Seattle Mariners on Saturday.

Ray is 1-3 with a 4.18 era in six career starts against Yankees. He last met them in Seattle for the sailors on August 10, 2022, when he allowed two runs in 6 1/3 rounds of a decision without a decision.
